I often joke that children’s photography is more challenging than wedding photography. You need to be very fast, have lots of patience and do most of your work very close to the ground! It’s a challenge and ultimately, incredibly rewarding.
When having your child (or children) photographed, it is best not to go into the shoot with a very specific idea of the kind of photos you want to get. It’s better to let the child guide the photo session. This way you will get many more photos and they will reflect the child’s true personality.
I usually recommend doing children’s photography outdoors. This gives children the freedom and space to move around and play. I believe that photographs of children outdoors are beautiful, unique and sophisticated. Capturing spontaneous action in a natural setting matches the lifestyle approach that I take to all my photography.
Children’s photography sessions last about an hour. In that time, you can expect to receive over 100 unique and beautiful images. All my photo shoots include all your pictures in high resolution on a disk. With the disk, you are free to print, frame or create photo books and albums with as many photos as you like.
Please feel free to contact me by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 514-312-2277 to have your family or children photographed in Montreal this summer. It’s a great time to document these special years and get a collection of photos that will provide great memories for years to come.
