1050 Sherbrooke Street West
Montreal, Quebec H3A 2R6 This beautiful hotel is located right downtown. The Omni has always been of my favourite wedding venues in Montreal. This hotel has an elegant entrance, privacy of the reception halls being on their own floor. It is within walking distance to downtown restaurants and shopping. There are many locations close by for wedding photos. And it’s only a 10 minute drive to go to Old Montreal – if that’s where you would like to have your photos done. It offers parking (which is a very good thing) and has 2 beautiful rooms for receptions and a large windowed area for cocktails.
39, rue Saint-Paul Est
Montréal, Quebec H2Y 1G2
This is a new addition to my “best wedding venues” list for 2018. I’ve had the pleasure of working at this venue a few times now. The service is excellent. The Vieux Port Steakhouse is right on St-Paul Street in the heart of Old Montreal. Their on-site wedding co-ordinator is organized, helpful and very easy to work with. This restaurant is on several floors allowing for small and medium sized weddings with a nice amount of privacy. I actually chose this restaurant for my wedding brunch for my out-of-town guests. Overall it’s one of the great wedding venues in Montreal and I highly recommend giving them a call to get more information.
Montreal, Quebec H4C 2C7
This wedding venue is a great choice because it is located close to downtown, very private (with parking) and you can bring in your own caterer and bar (a rarity for Montreal). The Entrepots Dominion also gives you access to one of the most inspiring wedding planners I’ve ever met – Emmanuel Goubard.
1, circuit Gilles-Villeneuve
Canada H3C 1A9
If you’re looking for inexpensive show-stopper wedding venues close to Montreal for your wedding – this is a great pick! The old Canada Pavilion (now available for rent) is nestled among beautifully landscaped gardens – also perfect for an outdoor wedding ceremony. You can bring in your own catering and your own bar – and it has the added cache of being on the Grand Prix track. But book early – this venue is in high demand!
1228 Sherbrooke Street West
Montréal, Québec H3G 1H6
The newly renovated Ritz Carleton is the epitome of luxury and elegance. The historic oval room is still as breathtaking now as it was when I first started working there 12 years ago. The garden is perfect for bridal photos as well as the grand front entrance. I have included two of my favourite rooms at the Ritz – the Oval Room and the Palm Room.
270 St. Antoine Ouest
Montreal, Quebec H2Y 0A3
Right in the heart of Old Montreal, this hotel offers a great location with a panoramic view of Montreal from the largest ballroom. It is also perfectly located for couples looking to do their wedding pictures in Old Montreal.
3450 McTavish Street
Montreal, Quebec H3A 0E5
A spectacular location, right on the grounds of McGill University. I love the unique architecture of this hall and also the beautiful winding staircase – perfect for a grand entrance!
2047, rue Mansfield
Montréal, QC H3A 1Y7
Close to the corner of McGill and Sherbrooke St., this private club is an elegant option if you are looking for smaller wedding venues. I love the architecture and heritage feel of this classic venue.
106, Saint-Paul Street West
Old Montreal, Quebec H2Y 1Z3
This Five Star Hotel is a fantastic location in the heart of Old Montreal. Great service, beautiful atmosphere and a perfect wedding reception location. They also have a rooftop terrace that is a fun option for your cocktails before dinner. The penthouse suits also have balconies that would be suitable for a small intimate wedding ceremony or cocktail.
located at the foot of the St-Laurent Boulevard, on the King-Edward quay.
This Glass-encased hall has a beautiful panoramic view over Montreal. There is a large balcony attached so guests can step out for fresh air or to see the fireworks during Montreal’s international fireworks competition. It is a unique location for a wedding and has a few spaces that would accommodate both your ceremony and cocktails.
1155 Sherbrooke Ouest
Montreal, Quebec, H3A 2N3
This is one of my most favourite locations in Montreal. Perfect location, perfect service, perfect food. If the meal you serve your guests is a priority, this is a top pick! It is urban chic, close to downtown, with lots of nearby options for photography (including the McGill grounds and the steps of the Musée des Beaux Arts).
Montréal, QC H2Y 2E2
Scena is a glass encased room on one of the piers of the Old Port. Surrounded by water it is a truly unique location. There is also a lovely exterior terrasse and a magnificent view of Montreal and the Jacques Cartier bridge as the sun sets. It would be a great place to be during the International Fireworks Competition
This charming Inn located in Old Montreal has two very nice reception rooms with lots of Old World atmosphere. The first is a quirky little venue located at the top of a winding staircase – it was almost an adventure getting there! But once arrived it is very private and quite unique. The second is on the ground floor with access to the bar area for cocktails.
2801 boul. Saint-Joseph
This hidden gem is located right on the water’s edge in Lachine. This venue offers great outdoor options for the ceremony (either on their balcony or terrasse – both overlooking the canal). Capacity is 110 people. This is a very affordable option for those with a smaller budget.
1111, de l’Église
Ile Bizard, Québec, H9C 1H2
A classic golf club location for a wedding. The advantage of a golf club is that you can also have the ceremony in this location. I’ve included a photo of the indoor ceremony set-up because I thought it was beautifully done. The outdoor covered terrasse is great for cocktails and generally a very good option not far from Montreal.
1500 Montée Champagne
This private vinyard estate located about 20 minutes from downtown Montreal was a recent discovery for me. If you are looking for an intimate location with the option of an outdoor ceremony, you should absolutely check out this location. And you could have cocktails outside overlooking the gorgeous landscape and your wedding photos in the vineyard – perfect!
Best wedding venues outside of Montreal
Ripple Cove (Eastern Townships)
Ayer’s Cliff, Quebec
A beautiful Inn located about 2 hrs from Montreal. This beautiful venue has a nice hall and a beautiful lakefront for your guests to enjoy cocktails. The grounds are beautiful and make for picturesque wedding photos.
Auberge des Gallant (Rigaud)
1171, ch. St-Henri,
This charming venue is a wood framed building across for the Auberge. If you would like to have a wedding in a very natural outdoors-y setting, this would be a wonderful choice. There is also a larger reception hall in the main building. And if you like the paper lanterns, they are a permanent fixture – so that saves you hours of work! Auberge des Gallant is about 45 minutes from Montreal.
Au Vieux Moulin (Rigaud)
3 Rue Du Moulin,
Rigaud, Quebec J0P 1P0
Also in Rigaud, and only 45 minutes from Montreal, this private site is perfect for an outdoor ceremony, cocktails and a charming indoor reception. Check their website for additional photos, the grounds are beautiful!
125, chemin des Patriotes sud,
Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, J3H 3G5
This historic manor house is located in beautiful Mont-St-Hilaire which is only about 1.5 hrs from Montreal. The gardens are spectacular and there are two reception halls. The one pictured above looks into the inner courtyard and the larger reception room looks out on the river. Breathtaking location for a wedding! Here is a photo of the exterior of the Manoir Rouville-Campbell that I found on Booking.com.
1000 Rue du Rivage,
QC J0L 1R0
The Chateau St-Antoine is a perfect location for a wedding. This historic building has been beautifully maintained and adapted to host events. There are well-manicured gardens and outdoor space for cocktails and wedding photos. There are two reception halls. The one shown here is a tented extension that has been added so you can have the feel of a tented garden wedding 3 seasons of the year.
